Wildwood’s Sensational 60’s Weekend rolls around on April 24 and 25th….mark your calendars. If a street fair, music, car show and food all sound great, you won’t want to miss Wildwood’s Sensational 60’s Weekend. Hermin’s Hermits, Peter Noone, The Turtles and more…Saturday night concert. (Admission $45)…but the free entertainment rolls on Sunday from 12-3pm…and you’ll want to be a part of the fun! You can get more information at 888-729-0033.
Did I forget to mention the dance party Friday night? $10 gets you in…and you will absolutely love the Street Fair at Fox Park Saturday afternoon.
Wildwood Cheerleading Competition

Wildwood hosts the “Beast of the East” event on April 19th. They have a website at Cheertech.net/Beast.html for more details. Teams competing will win trophies, along with grand champs getting hooded sweatshirts. This cheering event will be held April 19th from 9am to 8pm. There is an admission fee. You can call 866-52-CHEER for more information. This event takes place at the Wildwood Convention Center.

Wildwood Event: Youth Wrestling

This Wildwood event takes place at the Wildwood Convention Center. You” find the wrestling championships going on Easter weekend. The 2009 War at the South Jersey Shore National Folk Style Championships takes place April 10th and 11th. (weigh ins start April 9th)
They have over 500 registrants all ready!

Wildwood Easter Egg Hunts

Wildwood Easter events are a great way to celebrate Easter with your kids. With Easter inching upon us, it’s time to start making plans. You’ll find the annual Elks Easter Egg Hunt in North Wildwood on the beach and 17th ave. This event starts at noon, and is free. Children 11 and under may participate.
You’ll also find a Easter Egg Hunt in Wildwood on the beach at Lincoln Avenue. This time the Greater Wildwood Jaycees will be sponsoring the event. This event is for children ages 1-12. The event starts at noon, and does have a rain date of April 12th.
Another Easter Egg Hunt can be found at 23rd on the Boardwalk in North Wildwood. This event takes place from 12:30-2, and is for children 12 and under.
Lastly, I want to mention Morey’s Piers. This event takes place on Schellenger Ave in Wildwood. NOt only is there an Easter Egg Hunt, but it’s opening day for Morey’s Piers. RIdes, food and entertainment will be available. The events take place from 12-4, but the Pier is actually open from 11 to 5.
