Wildwood: Beach Blast Soccer

This fun event called the Cape Express Beach Blast Soccer is a weekend of fun. Like soccer? You’ll love this event. To register, come to teh Wildwoods Convention Center on Friday from 12noon to 9pm. The weekend of June 26-28th blasts off barefoot soccer on the beach.

*FREE for spectators

Soccer games will be played on the beach between Cedar and Poplar Avenues. Games will be 5 on 5 and played in the sand with no shoes. It’s a barefoot extravaganza! Pre-registration is REQUIRED.

Wildwood: Marbles Tournament

This year will mark the 86th year for the Marbles Tournament! Okay, here’s the scoop….The 86th Annual National Marbles Tournament kicks off June 22nd through June 25th. This event is the official national competition in the sport of marbles!

The event is for kids ages 8 through 14. The kids have previously qualified at local tournaments. If you’d like to watch, it’s free for spectators and takes place between 8am and 1pm daily. You’ll find the event taking place at Ringer Stadium (Wildwood Ave/at the beach) in Wildwood.

Family Event: Wheelin the Wildwoods

Wildwood is having a fun family bike tour on Father’s Day. Here’s the scoop…this non-competitive bike tour is a great day for the family to come out together and enjoy either a 10 mile tour or 26 mile tour through the Wildwoods and surrounding areas. The ride starts at 8am, but registration starts at 7am.

Wildwood to Host ALS Express Bike Ride

Come out and support the ALS Express Bike Ride which is a fundraiser raising money to fight Lou Gehrigs Disease. The event takes place at Morey’s Piers on Schellenger Avenue.

Wildwood’s Plunge for Patients: Cancer Awareness

On June 20th, the 14th Annual Plunge for Patients takes place. Not only is there a plunge for the patients– it’s an event for Cancer Awareness. At the Widlwoods Convention Center you can take part in health screenings. This is an all day event starting at 2pm on Saturday and going until 5pm.

Didn’t I just say all day? I sure did! You see, the fun is just starting, because it continues on with ocean races, a fun walk and a beach run….these events start at 6pm….

Wait…there’s more…

There’s also a beach party from 8pm to 10 pm! This is a must attend event– but you MUST REGISTER to attend.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Parade

The Wildwood Convention Center will host the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ladies Auxillary Convention from June 15th through June 20th. There will be a parade on Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood on Saturday at 1:30. If you’d like more information you can visit the website: VFWNJ.com

American Legion Parade in Wildwood

The American Legion Convention and American Legion Parade will take place from June 9 through the 13th. The Convention will take place at the Wildwoods Convention Center, while the parade will take place on June 13th at 2pm. The parade will start at Atlantic Ave and 18th Ave in North Wildwood.

New Jersey State Elks Parade and Convention

The New Jersey State Elks Parade and the New Jersey State Elks Convention will be taking place at the Wildwood Convention Center on June 4th though the 6th.

Wildwood Writing Conference

Ooh, I’m a writer, I’m a writer!!! The North Wildwood Beach Writer’s Conference is taking place on June 2nd and 3rd at the Wildwood Convention Center. This is the 7th year for the event, and will offer a banquet, writing contests as well as speakers. There is a fee to attend. The event takes place from 12noon to 9pm on Tuesday, and on Wednesday 9am to 9pm.
